NWS issues flood warning

WINNEMUCCA — The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a flood warning for the lower Humboldt River as a slow-moving flood wave works its way downstream.  The Humboldt River will continue to rise past flood stage today (Tuesday, May 31).

According to the NWS, flood stage is 9.5 feet; as of 2 a.m. today the stage was 9.7 feet.  Minor flooding is occurring.
